To keep the sledge with the harnessed dog sled drawn into it in one place (forced stop, long parking), the musher uses an anchor placed in the mount and fixed to the sledge with a cable. The principle of operation of a musher with an anchor is clearly demonstrated in the video below.
Recommended number of mounts and anchors:
- one mount / one anchor for a sledge, in which from 1 to 6 dogs are harnessed;
- two mounts / two anchors for a sledge, in which more than 6 dogs are harnessed.
---The variant with lateral placement of one / two anchors on the frame of the "Shaman" sledge.
---The variant with the external placement of one anchor on the frame of the "Shaman" sledge.
One of the useful qualities of an anchor is its ability to turn around in the snow after dogs and a sledge, while continuing to hold the team in the opposite direction. There is this moment on the video. This episode is essentially a defect, it will not go into the presentation video about the "220" model, but I did not send it to the basket, there is the work of the anchor on it, as it goes, is "written in the snow".
- Anchor material - stainless steel;
- Weight 1.5 kg;
